EcoHost needs stable Wi-Fi for sensor communication, automations, monitoring and remote configuration. If the internet connection is interrupted, door- and window-based automations may be temporarily suspended and remote functions may be unavailable. The thermostat still allows basic A/C control, and connected functions resume when connectivity returns.
